Key challenge:
Decarbonisation is a focus for McConnell Dowell and the State of Victoria. It is imperative for big business to carve a path to net zero while using cost-effective and turnkey solutions. The site also lacks space for fixed solar infrastructure or full roll-out of solar arrays.
Solarator® solution:
In Narre Warren, Cranbourne our commercial solar-powered generator called Solarator® Compact 25+ kVa replaced a 30kVa diesel generator which led to more than 77,000 kgs of carbon emissions avoided annually. They also saved more than $57,000 in fuel costs and an additional $20,000 saved in diesel servicing expenses per annum. At this rate, the expected payback period for the Compact 25kVa unit is 2 years.
